This Junior Raptor Awards Course is an adaptation of modules C1–C9 from the Raptor Awards syllabus. It is specifically designed for young learners (8-16yrs old), providing age-appropriate learning tools, resources, and practical guidance to help juniors develop both the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills foundational to bird of prey care.

Important Notes
- Not a Direct Equivalent: While this course closely follows the content and standards of the Raptor Awards, it is not an equivalent qualification. It is intended as a preparatory and educational experience for juniors.
- Progression to Full Raptor Award: If a junior wishes to complete the full Raptor Award as an adult, they must start the official Raptor Awards program from the beginning. Completion of this junior course does not count as prior accreditation or exemption from any part of the adult Raptor Awards certification.
- Bird of Prey Ownership: If a junior will be working with a bird of prey at home, their parent or guardian can complete the full Raptor Award course alongside them. This enables the junior to work with the bird under supervision, as juniors are not legally classified as competent to own their own animal. The bird will be owned by the parent or guardian.
