This policy is designed to help protect young people aged 18 or under and vulnerable adults through ensuring that:

activities are appropriate to the age, maturity and ability of those participating

full information is provided with regards to any activities, locations and those involved

parental permission is sought for those participating aged 18 or under

appropriate checks and monitoring take place of those that may be dealing with these groups

correspondence between instructors and assessors and candidates is monitored

where face to face meetings are required, another responsible adult is required to be present in addition to the instructor /assessor
Any allegations will be taken seriously and referred to the relevant authorities including the police, social service and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
